Winter is coming, snow is here, although school's almost out for break, students sometime lack cheer. Often time, over winter break, students are sent home with packets to complete. The first question when they return is β€œWhat did you do over winter break?”. Let's change it up and engage our students in fun and meaningful experiences with their families while staying connected with Flipgrid!

Step 1: Add Topics to your Grid
Here are 9 suggested topics for the winter break from the Flipgrid Discovery Library - each one is linked so you can easily add it to your grid!

  1. Acts of Kindness for Mr. Grinch

  2. My Special Holiday Celebration

  3. Code a Snowflake

  4. Holiday MadLibs

  5. Holiday Wishes

  6. Holiday Music

  7. #12DaysOfFlipgrid

  8. Winter Break Book Club

  9. Holiday Math Challenge

Step 2: Share with students & their families
Use the share button to capture the link and/ or QR code to share with students and families.

Take it up a notch by turning on Topic Guest Mode! This allows parents, family members, and guests to easily participate in your Topics without needing full Grid-access!

Step 3: Have fun!
Encourage your students to check in over break and share their holiday fun. Watch as the excitement grows.

I hope everyone enjoys their winter break!

See you on the grid!
