Miller delivers keynote at ACOG 2013 Maui

LTML co-director Dr. Charles Miller delivered the keynote at the meeting of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in Maui on September 26, 2013. His talk focused on mobile and medical education in the 21st century, and showcased new platforms and technologies for interactive learning in both online and face-to-face classrooms.

These platforms include Flipgrid and Avenue , which were both developed at LTML. Brad Hosack, lead designer at LTML and co-developer of Flipgrid, accompanied Dr. Miller and helped present Flipgrid, which was used and enjoyed by attendees throughout the conference and created a strong buzz.

Flipgrid was also used as a live discussion tool throughout the conference to gather attendee introduction videos, collect video reflections on keynotes and conference themes, and to build a comprehensive video overview of the conference.

The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), formerly the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, is a professional association of medical doctors specializing in obstetrics and gynecology in the United States. It has a membership of over 55,000[1] and represents 90 percent of U.S. board-certified obstetrician-gynecologists.
