A collaboration of K-8 students from 76 schools in 20 countries use Flipgrid to have a global conversation over a period of four weeks.
Inspired by the book If You Lived Here: Houses of the World, which gives readers an inside look into the way people have lived and live, elementary educators Mary Morgan Ryan (@mmorganryan) and Carolyn Skibba (@skibtech) ask, "Would you like to learn more about schools around the world?" Our answer: yes, please!
This awesome project highlights the experiences of students in their home schools and encourages interactions between students among many nations. Participating schools were grouped into cohorts and used Flipgrid to answer one question each week. We are so impressed with the creativity displayed in the video responses given!
In their blog, If You Learned Here, Mary and Carolyn detail their efforts to recruit, organize, and facilitate a dialogue of learning communities around the globe. Thank you, Mary, Carolyn, and all teachers and students who participated in this awesome project! We are honored to be included in this global collaboration of student voice.
